Our Halloween Wedding Full of Love
Halloween has always held a special place in my heart. It’s not just about the costumes and trick-or-treating; it’s an entire atmosphere. A canvas of orange and yellow leaves against the twilight sky, the crisp air filled with the scent of autumn, and the playful rustle of dry leaves underfoot. For me, Halloween is a night when magic and whimsy come alive, making it the perfect backdrop for one of the most important days of my life—my wedding. Did I do a photo shoot in an old cemetery? Why yes, I did.
Love Under The Moonlight
On a spirited Halloween night, surrounded by the crinkly leaves and under the enchanted moonlight, I began this night by pledging my Love and celebrating it in the most fantastical way possible. My husband and I chose Halloween not only for its unique charm but because it reflects us: a little spooky, a little mysterious, and a lot magical. We exchanged vows dressed as Morticia and Gomez Addams, embodying a love both deep and undying.
Our wedding was more than just an exchange of rings; it celebrated creativity and imagination. The decor was curated of hauntingly beautiful elements, each corner and centerpiece whispering tales of gothic elegance and spooky nostalgia. Our guests, dressed in their Halloween best, added to the kaleidoscope of colors and themes, each costume telling its own story.
To me, Halloween’s essence is its ability to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. This is what makes it my favorite holiday. It reminds me of the beauty in the misunderstood, the elegance in the eerie, and the heart in the haunted. My husband, my spooky partner for life, continues to share this magical journey with me, celebrating each Halloween with new costumes and the same spirited love that marked our wedding night.
As the leaves turn and the cool breezes whisper, I am reminded again why I chose Halloween. It’s not just a day on the calendar; it’s a part of who I am, someone who loves all things macabre. So here’s to Halloween—my favorite holiday, the day I said “I do,” and the magical night that celebrates the imagination, the supernatural, and most importantly, love.
